Not just an ADHD kid!
This isn’t just a personal update post..It’s a reflection on motherhood, entrepreneurship, and neurodivergence.Last week, during #ParisFashionWeek, my 15 year old son presented his first fashion show. Yes.. you read that right.. He is 15... A few years ago, I made a very intentional choice:I invested in his talent, not in an outcome. No ROI.No pressure. No expectations.I wanted him to explore and express who he is, outside of a system that kept trying to define him as “just an ADHD kid.” What that system didn’t see is what I see every day:A mind that connects ideas differentlyA deep emotional intelligence, and an artist with extreme precision and vision. For this show, he did everything. He built the concept, designed every piece, made production choices, and directed the artistic vision end-to-end.👉 He is not a Nepobay I didn’t open doors or ask for favours, I did one thing only: I trusted him and I funded the process so he could execute his own vision.✨ I was expecting maybe 100 people in the room. There were more than 500!Only afterwards did we realise that Mark Hunter (@kobrasnake) was in the audience ! Shortly after, French fashion press published an in-depth analysis of the collection. They described “I was just a kid” show as:📌 “A rebellion against societal norms, expressed through ideas and artistic direction.”📌 “A reflection of the loneliness and sadness of today’s youth.”📌 “A refusal to be neutral.”In that moment, everything became clear. He is “more than an ADHD kid.” He is an ArtistAnd artists are not optional in today’s world they are essential! As an entrepreneur, I invest in people before metrics. As a mother, I did the same.Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is not to fix, correct, or normalise but to believe, protect, and create the conditions for someone to become who they already are. That is Grateful witness of a proud Mum and entrepreneur. ✨ I am more convinced than ever that neurodivergent minds are not broken, they see, feel, and create differently, and our role is to give them space to do so.#ParisFashionWeekWF26, #Notjust#ADHD#kid
